Game Dev Blog 1: Working Through It


Hello,

I know it has been a bit, and it may seem I have given up on the game, but I have not! I have still been hard at work, but in recent weeks I have had kidney stones followed by C19. 

I thought I would post a bit about why everything is taking so long.

When I went about revamping everything, I went through EVERYTHING. I have added new features and additions that will give the game more umph, excitement, and character build choice.

Now, I have areas already done for the contest, but due to the changes, I have had to make sure to complete as many of the upgrades and updates as possible. The reason is, at the beginning of the game, I do a bunch of background data. Nearly every feature gets set up in the beginning of the game. Skill XP, crafting, and more. So, before I could go through and do the areas again, I had to complete most of the features to an extent that I can be sure that I won't have to make people start over again if I need to change something. So, I just had to get it all done!

I am finally working on the content again and in the first zones of revamping everything. The major thing that is taking time is tutorials. I am adding tutorials as I go so it is taking some time in the beginning to make sure I cover everything.

I intend to do updates on Sundays. Hopefully weekly to bi-weekly, if there is enough content complete. I am unsure when the start will be, but once I get there, I hope to be able to keep the ball rolling with new content updates, story, and zones to explore.
